Our Crochet Hearts in the News!

On Valentine's Day, we hung up a few crochet hearts around Ossington and Hallam, as well as on the TTC and in a school. This was inspired by Sheepish Heart Bombing Day 2. We didn't attach tags, though, so they were completely anonymous.

Today we were surprised to see a short article about the hearts in the Metro! It was completely by chance that we saw it, too, as it was in a friend's copy.

We're really, really glad that this article was published, as it (and all the lovely comments on it!) are really encouraging. We hope to do some more pieces soon, especially since International Yarn Bombing Day is coming up!

We are also highly amused by how much the hole in the middle (which is indeed only structural) was read into.

This is the pattern that was used: http://howtocrochetaheart.blogspot.ca/2012/08/crochet-heart.html

(Oops this was supposed to be published back when the article was posted! Yikes! Some of the hearts have fallen, we'll have to replace them soon.)
